A hospital in Maryland is actively seeking an Interim Hospital Director of Pharmacy to lead their team. The interim Director will be offered a 13-week contract with the option to extend or convert into the full-time, direct hire, permanent position. 

The Interim Hospital Director of Pharmacy will lead a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs for the hospital’s inpatient pharmacy department. Responsibilities of the Interim Hospital Pharmacy Director include overseeing day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, staffing, payroll, and ensuring regulatory compliance. If the Interim Pharmacy Director Pharmacy is not interested in converting to the permanent, full time position, then the Interim Director Hospital Pharmacy will support the health system with identifying, interviewing, and training the Hospital’s permanent Director of Pharmacy Services. 

The Interim Director of Hospital Pharmacy will work in a suburb of Maryland, just north of Washington DC. This area is perfect for individuals who enjoy visiting historic museums and monuments, shopping at local boutiques, biking and walking along the various local park pathways, and dining at local restaurants. This upscale suburb is primarily home to young working professionals and families. 

As a Clinical Management Consultant (CMC) W2 employee, the Interim Hospital Director Pharmacy will be offered a 13-week contract that could be extended or converted into the permanent position, healthcare benefits, and paid time off, paid holidays, and sick days. Qualified candidates may also be eligible to receive paid travel, housing, and car rental. 

The hospital is hoping to find an Interim Director of Pharmacy who has previous Director or Manager experience working in an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Setting, preferably at a non-profit hospital. The hospital leadership team is hoping to find an individual who is readily available to start and would consider the option of converting to the permanent, full-time position down the road. The Interim Director of Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy Services must hold their Maryland Pharmacy license prior to starting.
