Title:  Senior Financial Analyst
Reports to:  Director of Finance and Senior VP Finance

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the US

Job Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst position at FranklinCovey reporting to the Director of Finance and Senior VP of Finance.  The Senior Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for the monthly accounting close of various business units, financial reporting and analysis, and forecasting.

Essential Job Functions:

• Accounting Functions – Assist with month-end accounting close (journal entries, monthly accruals, account reconciliations, audits, etc.) for various business units.


• Monthly Reporting Package – Prepare variance analysis of operational results (actual versus prior year and plan) and identify issues and opportunities to improve profitability.


• Budgeting and Forecasting – Assist with preparation and submission of annual budget and weekly forecast.


• Financial Modeling – Prepare and analyze financial reports and dashboards with key metrics and performance indicators for sales team and sales leaders.


• Expense Review – Review and approve employee expenses ensuring adherence to company policy.


• Compensation – Prepare incentive and commission calculations, and monthly accruals related to incentives.


• Project Support and Ad Hoc Requests – Perform additional financial analysis for special or ad-hoc projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience (CPA preferred)


• 3-5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting


• Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to quickly learn new technical systems


• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and accountability


• Proactive personality that drives continual process improvement


• Able to interpret data and turn that data into information to be used in making business decisions


• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and analytical skills
