Operations Manager (Experienced Level Professional)

The Michelin Junction City site is growing and is seeking an Operations Manager to become part of the team in this exciting time at the facility!


The Operations Manager guarantees the performance of the business units in their area of responsibility using lean manufacturing and empowerment tools in order to obtain the department objectives defined by the annual plan of the facility. They are a leader and mentor to their salaried team and wage teams to develop independence, motivation and well-being. This position is a member the Plant Staff Management Team.



KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS



• Develop and be responsible for the progress plans of your workshop to continuously improve through leading daily performance and empowerment to meet plant objectives


• Effective leadership of ~3-4 salaried team members and ~80-90 wage indirect reports


• Deploy the annual plans of the facility to achieve the objectives in your department to meet Safety, Machine, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (budget) objectives


• Be a mentor to your Business Leaders and their operational teams to achieve the Michelin Best Practices


• Be a mentor to your Quality Manager and their team to continuously improve quality results


• Acquire and develop qualified individuals to ensure a good working atmosphere and good cross functional teamwork


• Develop your salaried employees by outlining and achieving career goals through frequent feedbacks, people reviews and active development plans


• Be a problem solver to help mentor your team to find root-causes and improve processes



REQUIREMENTS



• Business or Technical degree preferred but equivalent experience is considered for this role


• Previous experience of leading teams and getting results


• Previous industrial management experience is helpful


• Willingness to working in a plant environment


• An effective communicator to all levels of the facility
