Position onsite in Tomah, WI M-F 7am-3:30pm

What Will You Do?



  • Develop material requirements using planned order status reports from the system output or from advanced information.

  • Prepare requisition orders specifying quantity and scheduled delivery dates utilizing the desired inventory level policies in determining quantities and delivery dates.

  • Analyze reports of over ordered parts and initiates adjustments to purchase orders in keeping with established order policies.

  • Adjust any purchase orders affected by engineering drawing and bill of material changes when notified by Engineering or Materials Coordinator.

  • Coordinate information and delivery on new production parts for prototype and new product builds.

  • Coordinate the activities required remedying parts shortages caused by tooling delays, equipment deficiencies, supplier capacity constraints, engineering problems and/or other related issues.

  • Work directly with Quality Control when quality problems arise.

  • Interact with shop floor supervisors on parts emergencies and outages.

  • Act as primary contact person and maintains open communication with suppliers of production parts.

  • May perform other assigned duties directed by management.




What Do You Need?



To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:


  • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum (2) years' experience in Purchasing or Materials in a manufacturing environment

  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with internal and external customers

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrated self-initiative
