Summary:

Supports clinical and scientific research activities under the direction of department supervisor; assists with or conducts experiments and procedures under the direction of a supervisor; presents findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed.




Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience


1. Master's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.


Preferred Qualifications:


The preferred candidate will have wet lab experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or equivalent; excellent communication and lab management skills; the ability to work and troubleshoot independently; computer skills including Microsoft office, Graphpad, Image J, Adobe suite or equivalent. Experience working with experimental mice, bioinformatic analysis and experience in prostate or lung cancer research is preferred.
