Where You'll Work

As a Cigna Intern, you're able to make a real impact, while growing and learning more about your profession of choice. The Business Development & Wholesale Marketplace Intern will support the operations, management, and growth of key initiatives and client offerings. This summer internship offers a student interested in health services management an opportunity to engage in a dynamic, growing business environment. The candidate will be provided hands-on learning experiences and challenging assignments. In addition, the Business Development & Wholesale Marketplace Intern will receive guided mentorship and exposure to various areas within the organization.

This internship is with Express Scripts, a Cigna company.

What You'll Do


  • Partner and interact with multiple groups, including Account Management, Operations, Clinical, and Strategy to support operating model improvement goals for Wholesale Marketplace

  • Engage with team in brainstorming activities and idea planning to aid growth opportunities, including product offerings

  • Support Business Development strategic initiatives that create margin and incremental value

  • Assist with the creation of process documentation, client materials, and internal presentations

Qualifications

Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree and have the following skills:


  • Excellent communication, project management, and organization skills

  • Financial, data analysis, and PC skills, including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Team player with solid interpersonal skills

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver, with the ability to work independently

  • Energetic, creative, and responsive

  • Professional curiosity and eagerness to learn

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
