Position Overview:
The FAAST Senior - Community Action Programs provides a variety of senior level accounting and advisory services for clients in grant based non-profits and community action programs. These duties are commonly performed in-house and include processing of financial information.

Responsibilities:
Analyze and review Financial Status Reports and Cash Advances and annual grant reportsPrepare grant set up annually and oversee grant close outs annuallyAnalyze general ledgerPrepares work papers, financial statements and board reportingOversee client payroll process and reviews quarterly and annual payroll filingsPrepares and oversees client staff for annual auditUnderstand OMB cost allocation standards and ensure cost allocations are completedAssist in the annual budget process and assist program directors with grant budgetingAnalyzes and tests accuracy and reasonableness of work completed and information presentedAchieves chargeable budgeted time goalsActive participant in weekly L10 meetingsIdentifies continuing education classes for technical advancementStays current on accounting rules and regulations related to functional area

Qualifications:
BA degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experienceMinimum of 8 years previous accounting experience, preferably with grants or fund accountingAccounting/Bookkeeping experience requiredMulti-task, problem solve, and complete all assigned dutiesStrong written and verbal communication; excellent interpersonal skillsOrganized and detail oriented; able to maintain records and filesAble to conduct themselves in a professional manner with clients and internal staffAbility to produce high quality work, monitor own work, and able to maintain confidentiality at all timesMS Office suite, Quick Books
