A role in Supply Chain Finance offers unique experience opportunities, such as: being part of a global team, collaborating with business partners throughout the company, visibility to global structures and impacts, and insight to various processes and functions across Medtronic. This position will work within a matrixed organization, reporting to the Sr Finance Manager leading the Global Freight Audit team. This role requires strong leadership, analytic mindset, and communication skills as well as stakeholder engagement to deliver expected results in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment. This role provides project management support for logistics initiatives & freight audit pay needs and leads through influence to promote adoption of supply chain policies and strategies

A Day in the Life

Strategic Carrier Management


  • Maintain and drive compliance of global rate cards and processes across all modes of service
  • Lead audit management (global audit accuracy, invoice timeliness, contract compliance, review KPIs)
  • Identify and evaluate logistics service or cost improvement opportunities

Operational & Regional Unit Relationship Management

  • Drive cross functional collaboration on conformance to the global freight policy; leveraging global scale to drive process improvements and cost savings
  • Develop and manage related SOWs and SOPs Freight Audit, Payment, & Global Reporting
  • Manage relationships between both internal and external partners (e.g., Medtronic Finance, Global Freight Audit company, and transportation partners)
  • Drive cross functional collaboration on conformance to global invoicing and freight allocation best practices
  • Create, monitor, and distribute invoice level KPIs and financial month/year end reporting (e.g., payment term compliance, carrier aging, and post audit recovery)
  • Identify and lead continuous process improvement opportunities to be best-in-class; develop and manage related SOPs

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have


  • Experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, PC and analytical skills
  • Capable of multitasking and working with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, organizational ability and follow through
  • Self-motivated, aptitude for learning, passionate about generating/implementing new ideas
