As an IT Product Mgr within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based anywhere in PNC's footprint.

Job Description


  • Manages the development, implementation and support of technology-based products or services.

  • Ensures the development and execution of business plans for IT product or the product line. Participates in defining product strategies and pricing standards.

  • Establishes and maintains alliances with key partners and champions IT product concepts and strategies.

  • Consults and advises on product implementation strategies, upgrades and integration processes, with existing products.

  • Translates client requirements into development specifications; ensures that products adhere to corresponding business needs.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic – Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Product and Vendor Evaluation – Knowledge of and ability to implement processes for the evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components ensuring they are in line with an organization's business needs and architectural principles.

Product Development Best Practices – Knowledge of and ability to research, identify and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development.

Products and Services – Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Work Experience


Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.
