Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, is seeking a part-time, academic-year (32 weeks), hourly (24 hours per week) Research Technician to join the Psychology Department starting in September 2022. The colleges undergraduate program is focused on preparing undergraduate students (Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience majors) to ask science-based questions using behavioral, observational, and psychobiological data. The research methods courses include laboratories in areas such as cognitive psychology, social interaction, community resilience, sports psychology, and healthy aging. Students also conduct research with faculty in their on-campus laboratories or off-campus within the local community.

Responsibilities

• Assisting faculty with day-to-day laboratory operations


• Provide basic support to undergraduate students as they complete various projects


• Assist with participant recruitment and scheduling


• Participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions


• Other departmental and research-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in psychology or related field is required


• Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with faculty, students, and study participants


• Good oral and written communication skills


• High degree of computer literacy


• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks


• Experience working in a laboratory setting conducting human subjects research

Preferred Qualifications

While not required for consideration, any of the following skills/competencies will be viewed favorably: Excel, SPSS, Qualtrics
