As a Customer Service Specialist Intern, you will work towards providing the highest level of customer service to our clients by building relationships, ensuring account activities are followed out correctly, and by working in collaboration with other departments.



How you will make contributions that matter...



  • Provide the highest level of customer service to new and existing customer accounts through sales, support, and account management activities.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing interaction and building of rapport with customer accounts, sales personnel, and internal supporting departments.

  • Handle multiple priorities including customer inquiries, order changes, sample orders, product returns, and product shortage resolution.

  • Monitor customer order patterns and adjust orders in accordance with company practices, policies, and management directives.

  • Execute order-entry with high accuracy and follow through including solving problems in a professional and timely manner.

  • Participate in cross-training employees across the department.

  • Are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.

  • Ability to problem solve and to think past the first layer of possible solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to successfully work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership.

  • Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent data entry and proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Are self-motivated, possess good organizational skills, are detail-oriented, prioritize accuracy, can multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Have strong reasoning abilities: capable of breaking down complex problems into pieces that can be solved with data, analysis, assumptions, and judgment.

  • Possess strong language skills: capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, procedures, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, employees, and the general public.

  • Are proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software

  • Have the ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.

  • Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
