Your Opportunity

Glumac is seeking a Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with Glumac's strategy and the commitment and goals of the client's specifications. This position requires proficiency in project management processes, terminology, and tools, as well as engineering and construction methodology.

Your Impact

This role will entail:


  • Lead point of contact with the client and representative of Glumac to the public. Works closely with the project VP.
  • Manage various projects that include Advanced Technology, Manufacturing/Industrial, R&D Labs, and Data Centers.
  • Assist marketing in the development of scope and qualifications for RFPs. Participate in project bid interviews as needed.
  • Lead proposal and cost budget development efforts and prepare the necessary documentation.
  • Participate in activities and organizations related to our industry outside of daily business routine, developing peer relationships, technical growth, and business contacts.
  • Works closely with a Project Coordinator or Project Administrator as needed for the project.
  • Assists in reviewing contracts and agreements for conformance to scope of services and risk mitigation prior to execution.
  • Coordinates the in-house work of all engineering disciplines required for the project.
  • Facilitates the definition of project scope and if necessary, reviews and approves changes with the project VP.
  • Responsible for project goals and deliverables.
  • Assembles, coordinates, and supervises project staff and project resources needed for completion.
  • Defines project tasks and communicates resource requirements to all team members.
  • Attends coordination and project meetings and passes on information to Design Engineers and relevant staff.
  • Holds regular project team meetings to review project progress and identifies obstacles, issues, and solutions.
  • Ensures quality assurance with coordination of Glumac QA/QC.
  • Plans project work and schedules work with respective discipline leads.
  • Reviews and issues all required documentation for each phase/task.
  • Constantly monitors and reports on progress of the project to appropriate VPs, particularly if/when there are design, scope, budget, schedule, or client issues.
  • Performs cost-tracking and cost analysis functions to mitigate budget overruns, maintain cost and revenue budgets, and maintain project profitability.
  • Initiates in-house plan check and executes all corrections.
  • Takes initiative and exercises independent judgment in the solution of project problems.
  • Ensures project conforms to all contractual requirements.
  • Maintains project schedule.
  • Performs change, risk, and contract management procedures.
  • Coordinates project team members and manages information/issues between team.
  • Oversees the coordination and timely compliance of all project records.
  • Manages Construction Administration to ensure the project is in accordance with plans, specifications, and proper permits (as they relate to Glumac's role).
  • Initiates and completes archiving.

  • Degree in Project Management or Construction Management and/or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of project management processes, of terminology and tools, and of construction methodology.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
  • Self-starter.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience maintaining successful client relationships that directly result in repeat business.
  • Track record of maintaining key client accounts strongly desired.
  • Proven experience in team management, client satisfaction, and good decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage and lead cross-functional teams, including sub-consultants.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
