Job Description:

TransCore – Amtech Systems, LLC (AMS), is seeking a full-time Test Driver to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary: The Test Driver primarily supports the test team by driving vehicles in specific scenarios at the Balloon Park and Jefferson test tracks, and infrequently, at live tolling and by-pass installation sites.  The driver must follow specific driving scenarios as defined by the test track coordinator, project management and systems engineering teams.   At times, the driver may be requested to support testing on other shifts as needed.  From time to time, the need for testing may be low and during these times the driver will assist manufacturing with simple assembly tasks.

This position will normally work the night shift (4:30PM - 1:30AM).   There may occasions when day shift work (7:30AM - 4:30PM) will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for safe driving/control of TransCore owned/rented/leased vehicles at all times


• Maintain the safety, security and control of the vehicle at all times


• Report all faults experienced during the day's activity


• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle


• Responsible for refueling vehicles


• When requested will perform simple and repetitive assembly or testing of assemblies or sub-assemblies.

• Must have the ability to multitask and be well organized and timely


• Excellent customer service, communication, and people skills


• Ability to work under pressure


• Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time


• Ability to execute verbal and written instructions

  Must maintain driver’s license in good standing as verified by motor vehicle background check

  
  


• Must meet driving qualifications as set forth in TransCore’s Vehicle Policy


• Must be able to provide proof of current auto insurance


• Minimum of 21 years of age

 

Education:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
