Job Description:

Arconic is currently in search of a Systems Supervisor to join our team in Hutchinson, KS. At Arconic, our goal is to be the best company in the world! Since it's opening in 1995, Arconic Aerospace in Hutchinson, KS has provided value added services for the aerospace industry. The location provides polished aluminum clad flat sheet alloys to Boeing and Spirit while also delivering services like cut to size, protective tape lamination and just in time services. The location ships finished product to multiple locations worldwide with other customers including Cessna, Bombardier, Embraer, and multiple Boeing sub-contractors.

The Systems Supervisors duties include.


  • 12 Quality inspectors have a direct quality reporting relationship to this position
  • Responsible for daily quality metrics through direct collaboration and feedback with Davenport, IA location.
  • Drives system changes to eliminate waste and potential for product quality errors.
  • Maintain AAC location internal website that has all of the locations-controlled documents and procedures.
  • Responsible for the adherence to AS9100 quality standard.
  • Coordination of surveillance audits by 3 rd party for site quality certification as well as coordination and documentation of internal quality audits.
  • Issues and documents corrective actions to suppliers.
  • Responds to customer corrective actions.
  • Coordination and collaboration with Arconic field service.

A key component to this position is working with the other staff positions at the location to provide a safe work environment for our valued employees.

Arconic Business Systems (ABS):

The System Supervisor is responsible for leading Kaizen and TPM events in their respective area of responsibility. They are expected to understand, implement, and teach ABS concepts in order to level flow, rapidly solve problems to root, and institute daily management. Basic Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position may require access to export controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Management from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access) and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and interpret, analyze and compile data in a user-friendly format.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
