Job Description
SVB Private Bank and Wealth Advisory serves the needs of individuals who are part of the Innovation sector of the U.S. economy. This includes founders, venture capital and private equity professionals, as well as C-level executives from all the businesses SVB serves nationwide. SVB is uniquely positioned with access to the key players in the industry. We seek to help streamline their lives with a strong product set, intense knowledge of their industries, capable and caring relationship managers and a high level of customer service. The Private Bank is experiencing substantial growth and the Wealth Products Team is seeking a talented Product Manager to execute on a multi-year growth strategy.Key responsibilities will be centered around new and existing managed and brokerage investment solutions and platforms.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Wealth Products, this role will drive critical strategic results in Wealth Management and be a key driver in our mission for optimal performance and accelerated growth of SVB's Private Bank.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a very strong background in wealth management solutions and investment platforms.
The Wealth Product Manager will be responsible for the full life-cycle of product management, including product strategy, product design, assessing client needs and client journeys, pricing, profitability assessment, defining and reporting KPIs for continuous product and service improvement, marketing and sales management coordination, etc. Private Capital Markets solutions and services will be an ongoing focus in this role.
This job will also closely work with the Chief Investment Officer, Head of Capital Markets, as well as the Managing Director of Investment Operations regarding business management responsibilities, including business case and value proposition definition, change management, internal communications, monitoring and reporting pipeline trends, forecasting, risk management and regulatory compliance.
This job requires the ability to partner and lead across functional groups, timely and clear communication for senior leadership audiences (story telling with data-driven insights), working independently with a collaborative engagement approach are keys to success in this role.
Additional responsibilities to consider include:
Minimum 7-10 year work experience in wealth management (product management, product development, capital markets, business management, portfolio management, trading, alternatives distribution are preferred areas)
Technically proficient and able to work with data to produce business cases, financial models in conjunction with Finance, profitability assessments, market analysis, insights and recommendations; an ability to represent these visually in a clear and concise way
MBA is preferred but not required
Experience launching new financial products
Work experience in Wealth Management, Fintech in private markets, Investment Banking or Management Consulting
An independent style of working, entrepreneurial mindset, great ambition and professionalism
Ability to solve problems and navigate complexity in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and often ambiguous environment
