This is a skilled position involving servicing and maintaining road construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, paving machines, bulldozers, asphalt paving and other equipment by performing the following duties. CDL Class B with Hazmat required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• I nspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.

• Fuel equipment as needed

• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

• Replaces filters as needed .

• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

• Oils and Lubricates equipment and cleans parts.

• Starts devices to test their performance

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
