The Manager of Product Risk and Control will report to the Director of Product Risk and Control and is responsible for assisting in the management of product administration of the inforce block of annuity product and benefits by proactively and reactively researching and conducting self-audits to ensure integrity of ongoing administration.
This will include maintaining the integrity of administration, processes and product rules, and alignment with original design, pricing, and regulatory filings for 300+ fixed and variable annuity product & benefit combinations,

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure administrative systems and processes are consistent with product & benefit rules and profitability guidelines; communicate findings and recommended action items to leadership and control group partners.


  • Conduct robust self-audits of the product administration, maintain relevant documentation, prepare and present approach/findings, and develop plans for resolving any identified issues


  • Assess contracts, prospectuses and system administration processes for accuracy. Create detailed requirements for discrepancies. Trace requirements and prioritize for implementation.


  • Partner with Service on the development of corrective action strategy and remediation implementation


  • Partner with technology partners to determine root cause of system defects and appropriate strategies for resolving them


  • Support ad hoc assessments, project support and operational efforts requiring product subject matter expertise as either a project team member, individual contributor or team lead


  • Provide and review product language to describe accurate description of product design, operations and features in the annual updates to prospectuses and ongoing marketing material creation


  • Support Escalations Process in validating functionality/capabilities of our administrative systems


Qualifications:


  • 3-4 years’ relevant experience required; Annuities or Variable Life Insurance experience required.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


  • Strong communication and presentation skills


  • Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to partner with a wide variety of other functions and levels, including Sales, Service, IT, Control and Actuarial functions.


  • Strength of convictions and ability to influence decisions and champion product administrative or operational changes


  • Solution oriented with strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to leverage resource materials to support decisions


  • Must have solid organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute plans


  • Ability to effectively manage several dissimilar deliverables and prioritize.


  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team or lead a team


  • Excellent technical financial services product knowledge


  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple levels within the internal organization

The salary range for this role is from $108,000.00 to $160,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
