As a forklift driver, you will deliver materials to the production floor and unload and load trucks at established standards for personnel safety, food safety and performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ability to learn and operate SAP / GLOBE computer systems.
Complete data entry on computers and RF units for production entry, production correction, usage correction, ship verify, print B/L, inventory materials and finished goods in all departments
Mix and sift candy to recipe
Rotate candy by date code. (Requires use of SAP / GLOBE computer system to locate oldest product).
Inventory finished goods, ingredients, WIP and other Raw materials.
Deliver candy to machines.
Assemble animal feed totes.
Able to climb up on sugar tanks - with safety device.
Communicate with Supply Chain & management to maintain inventory levels, schedules, product quality.
Assist C/F and TAB Drivers as necessary. (Supply centers to pan lines, stock C/F)
Move finished goods from line
Supply internal departments with materials, supplies and finished goods.
Print out inventory control tags.
Check for accuracy in determining bills of lading for in-bound and out-bound shipments.
Perform final inspection of outward quality prior to shipment.
Communicate in written and verbal form with other employees and outside contacts.
Operate forklifts, clamp truck and other material handling equipment in a safe manner.
Assemble partial and full pallets of mixed product
Floor load into transport containers.
Load or unload truck trailers with pallets.
Top load shippers on top of existing full pallets to maximize trailer cube.
Operate power and manual wrapping device.
Provide samples of bulk ingredients to appropriate departments.
Repair/replace damaged cases of product and/or materials.
Operate power and manual wrapping device.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills that will make you successful
Qualifications:
High School Diploma preferred
2 years of Forklift driving experience
Basic computer skills
Must pass the written & driving forklift certification test
