KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is a key member of the corporate tax group for Korn Ferry, a global organizational consulting firm, headquartered in Los Angeles, California. This Senior Tax Accountant position will report to the Senior Tax Manager, and will be working closely with the peer tax professionals and regional controllers across the world. The position is focused on the U.S. International tax matters for tax compliance and reporting purposes. This role is 100% remote. Primary responsibilities include:
Assist in the preparation of the Company's income tax provision and participate in all tax accounting processes, including calculations of permanent/temporary differences, deferred assets/liabilities and rollforward, valuation allowances, return-to-provision adjustments, and tax journal entries
Prepare and roll the international income tax reporting packages in Thomson Reuters Dataflow system
Assist with the preparation of all U.S. international income tax filings workpapers and preparation of the Forms 1118, 5471, 8858, 8991, 8992, 8993 and 8975 within OneSource Income Tax (OIT)
Maintain PTEP and E&P tracking schedules
Assist in the preparation of workpapers for GILTI, FDII, and FTC to support tax compliance and reporting
Data gathering and preparation of source workpapers for the global transfer pricing analysis
Performing tax research to assist in preparation of technical memorandum and internal documentation
Support other corporate tax functions as needed
Maintain a summary list of non-US open tax audits
Support special tax projects as needed
Provide general tax support to other corporate and business groups
Monitor current and proposed tax law changes to identify and assess impact on the organization
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of tax experience, with emphasis on income tax accounting and compliance; a minimum of 3 years in public accounting and/or in industry, corporate and/or government. The ideal candidate will have:
A working understanding of U.S. corporate income tax laws and tax accounting pursuant to ASC 740 and international income taxation, including aspects of Tax Reform
Previous working experience with GILTI and FTC preferred
Strong overall computer skills and proficiency in Excel, OneSource Tax (specifically OneSource Income Tax (OIT)) and Dataflow; experience with SAP and familiarity with financial consolidation systems a plus
High energy with a willingness to "roll up his/her sleeves" is critical
Strong curiosity to understand who we are and what we do
Strong functional and technical tax skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively assist with projects, prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as function well with independent responsibilities
A strong drive to improve functional results, strong decision-making abilities and a desire to execute flawlessly
Ability to identify and define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with effective solutions.
EDUCATION
An Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
A current Certified Public Accountant certification and a graduate level degree with emphasis in Tax are strongly preferred.
