Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. In addition, they are responsible for securing warehouse as well as supervising staff.

Essential Duties

• Follow and uphold Oldcastle's policies (attendance, safety, accountability matrix, etc.)


• Maintain daily housekeeping expectations


• Organize and maintain inventory and storage area


• Maintain tools and equipment (banding carts, banding guns, scanners, etc.)


• Ordering and purchasing new supplies in a timely manner


• Identify product offering (location specific)


• Analyze shipment logs


• Determine and track most important warehouse KPIs


• Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained


• Track expenses related to fuel, storage, and truck maintenance


• Safely secure product to pallets and containers


• Perform required levels of forklift operations


• Pull, stage and verify orders according to picking slip proficiently


• Review timeliness of scheduled deliveries


• Constantly work to improve processes


• Communicate and collaborate with other team members


• Achievement of high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods


• Optimize employee workflow


• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities and employee's performance


• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or a similar leadership role


• Highly effective supervisory skills, leadership skills and techniques


• Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency


• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data


• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

• This job involves the following physical demands: Walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items


• Lifting requirements are generally up to 50 pounds


• Job responsibilities involve occasional use of cleaning chemicals and power tools
