What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:

The City of Groveland is one of the most rapidly growing cities in Florida, known as ‘The City of Natural Charm and Unlimited Possibilities. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and water distribution systems with remote pump station equipment, valves, piping, lift stations and water meters.  If you enjoy working outdoors protecting nature’s precious resource, water, then you will find this position challenging and rewarding. Starting Pay Scale

$16 - $20 an hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Schedule:

Must be able to work days, and some weekends if needed, and be on-call on a rotating basis as required for emergency call-outs.  Working in inclement weather may be required.

• Day shift typically 7 am - 5:30 pm (4-10 work week) (Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri) Weekends off




• 9 paid holidays




• 2 floating holidays

What you will need to Succeed!

• Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school, including or supplemented by courses in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance.




• Experience in the operation and maintenance of pumps, compressors, and plumbing fixtures preferred.




• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. 




• Ability to repair pumping equipment and control switches.




• Experience with wastewater and water transfer systems a plus!




• Water Distribution License issued by the state of Florida or the ability to obtain within 1 year.




• Must possess a valid FL driver’s license and a safe driving record.




• Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
