Job Description:

Surgical Services at Augusta Health combines community care with state of the art technology to provide high quality and patient centered care. Nurses are vital to this quality patient care. The Outpatient Surgery nurse will ensure a safe peri-operative environment while coordinating Pre-Admission details. We are looking for someone who is energetic and likes to work in a fast paced environment. The RN is responsible for collaboration with the anesthesia providers while developing the plan of care for patients of varying acuity levels providing care for patients having elective and emergent procedures.

We currently have a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) position open in our Outpatient Surgery Department. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care.

Requirements

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia


• Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required


• BSN or ADN currently enrolled in a BSN program preferred


• BLS certification required


• Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Effective time management skills
