Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Supplier Quality Engineer Manager, the Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for supplier development in a manufacturing or service process; works with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Collects and understands external and internal customers’ expectations / perform gap analysis, fulfillment actions on supplier product & quality, and cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, innovation plans, and goals for supplier quality.

  • Responsible to execute Supplier audits & qualification, products qualification process per policy and management plan, including not limiting to execute on Processes like PPAP, ECN (FAI, Material Certificates, Quality/Process Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, Reliability Test, etc.)

  • Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors related to suppliers and products, such as new regulations, cost of quality, suppliers’ risks, supplier’s performance, and proposals to other members of management team.

  • Responsible for analysis, evaluate & perform regional controls on DPPM and RMA monitoring process on suppliers’ performances, responsible to assure supplier fully & correctly perform SCARs throughout implementation with success per company policy, system, and methodology.

  • Measure and track suppliers’ performance and to drive problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Fine tune the supplier quality management process and tools based on region unique situations, and train SQEs and all peers to ensure compliance of the supplier quality process.

  • Commit cross-functional support and form good relationships with internal and external customers to maintain a strong support system in the organization, to achieve customer satisfaction and to comply with regulatory requirements.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • BS in Engineering or Equivalent Work Experience

  • Must have at least 5 years’ of Supplier Quality Engineering Experience

  • Must be well versed in quality tools (i.e. auditing, root cause analysis and corrective action, MRB disposition)

  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills

  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry

  • Mandarin abilities are a plus (Preferred)

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certificates (Preferred)
