As a Facility Maintenance Technician, your role is to ensure repairs to all facility infrastructure is coordinated and completed. This position requires a strong commitment to safety.

The Facility Maintenance Technician serves as an engaged and trusted source in the organization. Success in this role is measured by PM completion, work order closure rate, lessons learned, and a reduction in Maintenance cost. Key deliverables to ensure success are listed below:
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
Maintains plant equipment, buildings and grounds....includes but not limited to:
Lighting, electrical distribution and alarm systems
Water sprinkler system air compressors and air dryers
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and boiler system
Chilled water systems, water towers, DI water and water reticulation pumps
Filters and air reticulation systems
Buildings, grounds and perimeter fencing
Cutting fluid reticulation, compressed air reticulation, cooling water reticulation
Quality department hydraulic unit, overhead cranes and jib hoists
Parking lots, grounds management, snow removal and line striping
Maintains PMs in all facilities.
Perform seasonal duties such as winterizing external plant and equipment, and snow and ice removal from walkways and parking lots.
Service and maintain all air compressors.
Maintains offices and supplements janitorial housekeeping services.
Maintains records and proper logs.
Works with Safety, Production, Maintenance, Environmental Team and co-workers.
Responsible with the HR/Safety Department to train and approve all contractors and their employees on the basics of Company Safety and Workplace Policies.
Assists Engineering Department with additions, improvements, and modifications to facility equipment.
Creates purchase orders for parts, equipment, and outside services.
Maintain established housekeeping (6S) standards for the Facility Maintenance work area.
Maintains a clean and orderly tool box and all job sites during and after completion of work.
Obtains OEM training for new and existing systems and equipment as directed.
Supports continual improvement by identifying and reducing inefficiencies.
Complies with and advocates all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Assists with Engineering Department to develop parts lists for new and existing equipment.
Assists with Engineering Department to install new equipment and work through the acceptance process.
Attends all prerequisite safety training.
Operation of all types of AWP, forklifts, boom trucks, scissor lifts, and any additional heavy equipment needed for the purpose of completing high overhead jobs.
Responds to all customers with urgency and professionalism.
Responds to emergency situations during and after work hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Supports the Company safety and environmental policies throughout the facility by demonstrating and promoting safe work practices in all activities.
