Job Description:

GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

An I2TS 3 Information Technology Analyst will:


  • Provides expertise in the formulation of systems' scope and objectives. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats. Designs and develops computer system specifications that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's/customer's information systems architecture standards. Creates or modifies procedures to solve technical problems related to computer systems and programs.


  • Analyzes information from system users and develops strategic solutions that meet the scope and objectives of the system along with addressing system needs. May provide guidance to less experienced personnel. Exercises independent judgement and works with very limited supervision.


  • Prepares highly complex flow charts, models, and procedures and conducts feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.


  • Advises less experienced employees on form design and layout activities.


  • Advises less experienced employees on the preparation of systems specification.


  • Uses advanced knowledge to develop technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.


  • Recognized subject matter expert in job area typically through advanced education and work experience. Establishes operational plans. Manages large projects which will have medium to large impact on the company. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Work performed is critical to the organization.


  • Independently performs advanced analysis and systems designs along with providing guidance to less experienced personnel.


  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.


  • May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)


Desirable Skills / Experience:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in systems analysis and design


  • Proficiency in the use of one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment


  • Candidate must have experience briefing 0-6 and above staff level. 


  • Candidate will synchronize the S6 staff and provides support to numerous signal operations on a global scale for the Brigade, Headquarters and Headquarters Company and the supported BNs.


  • Candidate will manage many areas in Network Operations.


  • Candidate will help to interpret OPORDER directives and evaluate the impact to the Mission.


  • Candidate will contribute to OPORDER directives to ensure proper tasks is carried out


Education Required:

  • High School diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s degree with 8 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience

                                                                                                                                              

Certification(s):


  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract


  • Required Baseline/Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent


Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI required

Additional:


  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract


  • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
