Cooks, Dietary Aids, Cashiers, Utility Associate



  • Wage: $13.00 to $17.00/hour

  • Full-time and part-time positions available

  • Day/Evening shifts available

  • Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required

  • Location: Community Medical Center, Missoula, MT

     




We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our hospital culinary team!


As part of the dietary team, assist patients with menu selection and deliver their meals in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.

Cook Responsibilities



  • Cater to all customer needs and treat every customer with respect, friendliness, and a smile

  • Prepare high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff (food production positions)

  • Ensure excellent presentation of meals, including labeling, temperature, and timeliness

  • Follow company recipes and guidelines to prepare all food items

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures

  • Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures

  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently


Dietary Aide Responsibilities



  • Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements

  • Provide excellent customer service for all patients

  • Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner

  • Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times


Utility Responsibilities



  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom

  • Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes

  • Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift

  • Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner

  • Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine

  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas

  • Monitor and empty trash cans

  • Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures

  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently


Qualifications



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment

  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform


Physical Requirements



  • Prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
