This critical role will direct and execute all marketing activity of branded products sold through broker, distributor, and direct sales. This includes new product introductions and overseeing the development of potential new products/markets.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Marketing Coordinator already in place
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all Marketing activity that supports the sales force including:
Advertising; public relations; direct mail; training (Sales/customer service); corporate meetings; promotions; internet activity; broker communications; internal communications; branded product support; custom product marketing support; branded product packaging; new product introductions; branded product price lists; and trade/food shows
Formulate and oversee marketing budget and manage and track all marketing expenditures
Direct strategy for positioning and destination of identified premium brands.
Manage all facets of advertising agency activities
Work with R&D on new product development and quality assurance issues related to branded lines
Research new market/product opportunities
Maintain files on all competitors of KC products and evaluate products from competitors and communicate findings to sales force
Research, maintain files on, and disseminate to appropriate personnel, information related to : industry, segment and product category trends, culinary trends, marketing/sales ideas, and new product ideas and applications
Work with Sales Management to ensure that brand communication across product portfolio is consistent
Support SVP facilitating product registrations and label development
Maintain price sheets used with internal and external customers
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing focus (MBA preferred)
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
8 or more years of progressive marketing experience
Experience in development of advertising, new product and media plans, working with sales and trade
Responsible for marketing with significant budgets and of management of others
Strong communication and negotiating skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
International experience a plus
TRAVEL:
Job requires variable and flexible work hours depending on business needs. Approximate 30% international travel required.
