Job Description:

This position plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The mission for the Internal Sales Representative is to pursue fiscal opportunity and support LI-COR customers and their initiatives through the representation of LI-COR products. The Internal Sales Representative will ensure all prospective customers are followed up with in a timely and professional manner, answer questions related to instruments, reagents, and support contracts, and work with the SDR team to maximize pipeline creation. Strengths in this position include natural inclination to win, metric-driven, energetic and organized.

Professional Qualifications

Education

B.S. or equivalent in molecular biology, life sciences, chemistry, or related field.

Experience


  • Minimum two (2) years in a sales or customer-facing role, preferrable experience in life sciences.

  • Proven customer facing skills including great communication, goal setting, strategic thinking and exceptional interpersonal relationship building.

  • Experience with SalesForce.

  • Familiarity with customer accounts in designated territory.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Telephone selling skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to prepare and give presentations in one-on-one settings, small groups and workshops.

  • May require up to 30% travel (U.S.).


Position Responsibilities

Specific


  • Represent LI-COR product offerings to customer base, including instruments, support contracts, reagents, and service.

  • Set and lead customer-facing meetings, including qualification calls, remote or on-site demonstrations of LI-COR technology as necessary, and follow ups.

  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure all opportunity is appropriately followed up on. Consistently forecast incoming revenue and update all necessary information in SFDC.

  • Work with customers to solve problems regarding the sales process, including updating quotes, providing vendor information, and other documentation.

  • Proactively prospect the market space in which the representative is assigned using sales technology stack and work with SDR to proactively generate opportunity.

  • Provide detailed feedback regarding market trends and customer needs, as well as competitive information.
    • Identify and make recommendations for improvements.


  • Work with scientific support team as necessary to facilitate the sale of LI-COR products.
