Revenue Accountant

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist in the month-end close process including recording journal entries and performing account reconciliations.


• Investigate and provide analysis for unusual fluctuations month over month in reported revenue or run rates.


• Perform monthly review of revenue to ensure proper recognition, recording adjustments, or following up with the appropriate individuals to correct as necessary.


• Perform contract reviews for Deferred Revenue balances.


• Understand newly issued accounting guidance impacting the Company/industry.


• Work with external auditors and assist in providing necessary support for various revenue transactions.


• Provide quality analysis for contracts being entered into new revenue sub-ledger system to ensure the proper recording of journal entries and revenue recognition.


• Assist with various general accounting projects that may arise during the year such as accounting for business combinations and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.


• Perform Microsoft Excel analysis to respond to ad hoc requests from management.


• Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

• 0-2 years of professional work experience. Previous accounting or finance internship preferred.


• Strong data analysis and Excel skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.\


• Detail-oriented professional with a strong desire to learn.


• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.


• Self-starter with a continuous-improvement mindset and the ability to think outside the box.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with finance projects, business combinations, or system integrations.


• CPA or pursuit of becoming a CPA.

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

 

Travel:
