Job Description:



About the Position:



The Recovery Manager is responsible for managing a team of Recovery Specialists tasked with administering the Company's portfolio of accounts that are in a repossession, remarketing or recovery status. Maintain valuable business relationships with outside vendors in addition to evaluating the productivity of each vendors/agent.  Oversee the overall repossession, impound, reinstatement and remarketing processes.



 



Duties and Responsibilities:




























  • Managing a team of 10-15 Recovery Specialists, including, interviewing candidates, training employees and delegating work




  • Oversees the repossession and disposition of collateral according to Federal, State and local laws and regulations.




  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all Federal, State and local laws regarding the repossession of vehicles and the required notification.




  • Monitors repossession and remarketing activity with collections and vendors and to ensure compliance with company guidelines.




  • Analyzes and evaluates repossession assignments and collateral condition to ensure a net profit for the Company.




  • Effectively communicates with vendors and customers regarding repossessed vehicles.




  • Possesses ability to utilize Asset Location Tools in order to increase the probability of vehicle location and works closely with Vendors to communicate information efficiently.

Additional Information:



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a college or technical school

  • 3 years related experience and/or training;

  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
