  • We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst to join our newly established team responsible for delivering Data and Analytics capability to Financial.


  • The ideal candidate will need strong interpersonal skills, a self-driven data geek, who also excels in communicating and building relationships with others.


  • You need to be comfortable presenting to senior leaders, and able to clearly and concisely convey complex / technical information in a manner that others can understand.


Ideal Background:


  • 10+ years of experience system analysis, analyzing, summarizing, and presenting data; sound analytical and problem-solving skills


  • 8+ years experience in Data Analytics / Business intelligence roles or similar


  • 8+ years experience with BI analytical and reporting tools (SQL, Power BI, Python/R, Tableau, etc.)
    .


  • Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex analytic results into meaningful insight, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand.


  • Experience n tracking, analyzing and data products modeling in banking, account administration, health benefit administration, payment, investment


  • Skills in building roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, lead proof of concept, etc. to improve data quality processes, create efficiencies and deliver high-quality data products


  • Be a data Subject Matter Expert (SME) across their domain portfolio and drive adoption of best practice data quality, data governance and data management techniques across that portfolio


Top Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience with analytical and reporting tools (SQL, Power BI, Python/R, Tableau, etc.)


Team and Team size:


  • I PM


  • 1 data engineer, 1 data scientist, 1 Solution architect.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Partner with Financial Business units to understand existing tools and processes to define and execute an effective strategy to analyze data


  • Track, analyze and model data products and domain in banking, account administration, health benefit administration, payment, investment


  • Work with the technical product owner to develop roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, lead proof of concept, etc. to improve data quality processes, create efficiencies and deliver high-quality data products


  • Be a data Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Financial portfolio and drive adoption of best practice data quality, data governance and data management techniques across that portfolio


  • Evaluate and quantify data issues, making recommendations for data improvements including required process and system changes, communicate value realized through data improvement efforts


  • Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them


  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business


  • Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives


  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences


  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches


Required Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of experience analyzing, summarizing, and presenting data; sound analytical and problem-solving skills


  • 8+ years experience in Data Analytics / Business intelligence roles or similar


  • 8+ years experience with analytical and reporting tools (SQL, Power BI, Python/R, Tableau, etc.)


  • Experience in working with and analyzing financial data to develop business insight and strategy


  • Complex problem-solving skills


  • Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex analytic results into meaningful insight, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand.


  • Advanced proficient with MS Excel


  • Proficient with SQL, querying complex datasets using SQL or similar


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering)


  • Experience in healthcare data knowledge and understanding across multiple data asset types (member, consumer, provider, etc.,)


  • Healthcare and Financial data and data models experience


  • Proven commitment and desire to support client facing and customer driven culture


  • Experience working with MS Access


  • Experience with Azure Cloud Service
