BS Degree from an accredited institution in engineering (civil, environmental, chemical), physical science (geology), or business from an accredited program.
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in environmental remediation with proven successes in site characterization, remedial design and implementation, and cost-effective long-term Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-project management
A minimum of 5 years of management of staff and/or oversight of consultants
Preferred Qualifications:
MS Degree and/or professional certification (Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist)
Experience in a plant manufacturing or corporate EHS organization
Experience with human health and ecological risk assessments
Acquisition and divestiture experience, including retained liabilities
Application of ESG expectations to remediation projects
Solid understanding of remediation regulatory programs and requirements, including state programs, RCRA (US Law: Resources Conservation and Recovery Act), and Superfund
Proven expertise and problem solving in the assessment and remediation of sites with chlorinated solvent contamination
Experience with developing and implanting site strategies and remediation reserve estimates
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

This position is responsible for managing environmental remediation projects at active, legacy and legal liability sites, through technical oversight of consultants and contractors, and interfacing with Howmet locations, corporate resources, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders on long-term strategic directions for implementing effective remedies.
The primary areas of focus for this role is management of site assessment, remediation and long-term Operation and Maintenance (O&M) projects at sites with contaminated soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water or sediment as a result of historic operations at current and legacy facilities and off-site disposal sites.
The ideal candidate has a broad project management experience with environmental assessment, remediation design and implementation, and long-term O&M; has a proven record as an effective communicator and champion to successfully execute projects across different regulatory frameworks and has an "owner" mind-set for near-term cost control and minimizing long-term liabilities.
