The Parts Inventory Control Manager supervises and directs all parts inventories for all Wagner Equipment Co. and APAS locations in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” This position also maintains corporate inventory performance goals, ensures inventory accuracy and integrity through compliance of processes and procedures, and provides parts administration support for all WECo. and APAS locations. 


Pay rate:  $62,690.35 - $86,204.20 Annually
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. 

Essential Functions:

  • Thoroughly understands and maintains all inventory control parameters and is able to adjust them as needed

  • Insures all accounting aspects of parts operations are followed through correctly

  • Accumulates and prepares data required for parts management reporting (KPIs)

  • Reviews, coordinates, and reconciles returns to suppliers

  • Responsible for the administration and reconciliation of all parts merchandising programs

  • Develops and maintains written procedures for all activities related to inventory control

  • Expedites, tracks, and reports back-orders

  • Creates adhoc reports as needed through the utilization of various report writing software

  • Works with parts Operations to assist with the development and rollout of Key Performance Indicator reporting

  • Supervises and reconciles all physical inventories and discrepancy claims

  • Conducts monthly KPI presentations with the operational areas

  • Interfaces with supplier reps to exchange various information relating to parts availability, new product introduction, etc.

  • Maintains a proactive engaged relationship with operational areas and supplier reps

  • Other duties as assigned by manager


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Direct reports may include: Inventory Control Coordinators, Parts Coordinators

  • Participates in the development of staff, in order to provide a more effective workgroup while promoting a high level of productivity

  • Provides on-going performance feedback and conducts annual performance reviews

  • Administers work rules, company policies, work schedules, and discipline as required

  • Supports the EOS program by actively participating in meetings and providing effective feedback to staff


Required Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • College Degree Preferred (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting)

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative support role having to do with compiling and analyzing data using advanced spreadsheet knowledge

  • 3-5 years customer service experience

  • 3-5 years supervisory/management experience


Physical Demands & Competencies:



  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills

  • Safety & Product Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of DBS and Wynne

  • Basic knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint


Travel Requirements:



  • 1- 25%
