POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Neuro Insights is responsible for managing the Neuro Insights team which includes the functions of Market Research, Marketing Analytics, and Payer Analytics. This position manages a team of four that along with the help of an analytics staff augmentation vendor delivers specific insights for the brand Vyepti. This position will work closely with brand leadership as well as other Insights & Analytics functions (i.e., forecasting, sale force effectiveness) to align on brand strategies and drive results for the brand. This leader will oversee the research budget while following Lundbeck's invoice process to ensure timely vendor payments. The Director of Neuro Insights reports into the Vice President of Insights & Analytics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Manages team of four including three direct reports to ensure the Neuro Insights team is delivering insightful, action-oriented, and timely analytics/research for Vyepti

  • Provides strong people management to their team including helping with workload, career progression, and continuous actionable feedback

  • Delivers strong partnership to the I&A team as well as working closely with brand leadership to ensure alignment with business goals and strategies

  • Leads the development and evolution of performance reporting for the brand including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting with an eye for integrated insights across research and analytics (marketing and payer)

  • Leverage multiple data sources to gain a deep understanding of the migraine disease area as well as infusion space which covers national/sub-national areas, cohorts, and diverse stakeholders

  • Serves as a key liaison for the Neuro business unit which includes key events such as brand planning, performance reviews, and preparation for quarterly investor or Executive Management presentation

  • Willingness to step in and lead research or analytics projects as needed which includes working directly with vendors or conducting analysis internally

  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Market Access, Commercial Innovations and Solutions, and Global counterparts to support the delivery of insights and integrated action plans to the business unit

  • Drives appropriate vendor management along with invoice management to ensure best-in-class market research and analytics is delivered to the brand

  • Acts as a key member of the Insights & Analytics leadership which includes weekly meetings, larger org planning, and searching for opportunities to support the overall team

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


  • Accredited Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science degree

  • 8+ years of commercial analytics or market research experience

  • Deep understanding of both research and analytics, with an expertise in at least one of them

  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare experience

  • Experience with Pharmaceutical data (i.e. Prescriber and Account Level Rx, Sales and Profile information) and understanding of how to work with large datasets

  • People Management Experience (preferably within an Insights function)

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationship and consensus, and influence others

  • Experience managing projects to completion

  • Able to work effectively independently or within a team

  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations

  • Demonstrated ability to delegate to team members and/ or cross-functional partners

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Able to identify best practices and contribute to continuous improvement

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


  • Advanced degree, including MBA, MS, or Pharmacy degree

  • Relevant disease experience (e.g. CNS)

  • Knowledge of secondary data sources


  • This position will be based in the Deerfield location

TRAVEL:


  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
