What You Will Be Doing - Plan, develop, coordinate and supervise business development, marketing and estimating efforts for the company
- Work closely with President to develop and execute a strategic plan for growth, market focus, estimating, relationship management and people development
- Manage the estimating process
- Review all final estimates and proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and report on periodic goals and budgets for the Business Development and Preconstruction department
- Create and continually monitor measurement metrics to track the performance of assigned departments
- Annually review company marketing literature including brochures, mailers, website, print material and photographs to keep them current
- Work with the service team to expand market reach
- Review contracts for construction from customers and negotiate any necessary revisions
- Lead the process of information exchange between estimating and operations
- Establish buyout objectives with supervisor to manage, supervise, and participate in the purchasing of subcontracts and equipment to improve on the cost carried in the estimate
