The Team

We are seeking a Corporate Security Coordinator  to join American Tower’s Corporate Security team.  This new, dynamic team helps shape and implement the Company’s global crisis management and security risk management strategies and associated programs.  Day to day you will have a dual role, with administrative and technical-analytical responsibilities.  Administrative assistance duties are estimated to take up approximately 30% of the working hours, with analyses and technical duties the remainder.  The Analyst will be one of the team’s first members.

Security Management Support


  • Help provide subject matter expertise and internal security consulting services to business units around the world.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support the global development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, and plans that govern and manage security.

  • Aid colleagues in markets around the world to the ensure the consistent application of security practices.

  • Support the implementation of key security programs to protect critical corporate assets, which may include journey management, executive protection and travel security, crisis management and response, workplace violence prevention, and event security.

  • Prepare training syllabuses and presentations and help conduct security awareness training sessions.

  • Ensure the day-to-day security of the corporate offices and correct identified vulnerabilities.

Analysis


  • Proactively collect, process, and analyze relevant threat intelligence.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of security incidents affecting corporate executives and employees, as well as the company’s head office.

  • Produce, under tight deadlines, succinct narrative reports, presentations, visual mapping, and diagrams to report analytical assessments.

  • Display data and the results of analyses in formats that can be understood by non-technical readers.

  • Develop and deliver high quality oral intelligence briefings.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant contacts and sources in the private and public sectors.

  • Identify intelligence gaps and recommend innovative intelligence-driven solutions.

  • Assist with internal investigations.

Administrative Assistance


  • Manage the Senior Vice President, Chief Security Officer’s calendar and schedule meetings, travel, and other related activities.

  • Produce and submit the team’s expense reports and process vendor invoices for payment.

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the team’s budget and associated resources.

  • Help select vendors and develop and manage relationships with existing service providers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.  Advanced degree preferred.

  • At least 1 year of work experience preferred.

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products and a demonstrated creativity in their use to solve analytical problems and display data required.

  • Familiarity with information gathering and analysis on a global basis, including the use of commercial databases, internet and non-digitized sources, deep and dark web, and social media required.

  • Genuine interest in international security, geopolitics, intelligence analysis, corporate security, crisis management, and related fields required.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the current global geopolitical environment, threat conditions, and government structures required.

  • Working knowledge of at least one other language spoken in the countries where American Tower operates preferred.

  • Ability to work outside of regular office hours when required.

  • Dedication to the proper management and protection of sensitive data required.

  • High-level critical thinking and analytical skills required.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.​​​​​​​
