JOB PURPOSE The EPM Analyst/Administrator role provides day-to-day support for the Global Financial Information System (Hyperion EPM), while working closely with Corporate Accounting, Corporate FPA&CP and business finance teams to support and enhance complex business solutions and processes. This position resides in Linde's Corporate Accounting group. SCOPE Ability to operate independently in a complex finance related Hyperion environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to a business team; has joint responsibility and accountability for security, maintenance and development of the EPM system in support of the global finance organization's management and reporting requirements. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Reports to the Associated Director of Finance IT Systems and has heavy interaction with Corporate Accounting, Corporate FPA&CP and the business finance groups. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Administration and maintenance of Hyperion Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, including FDMEE, HFM, Hyperion Planning and Essbase. - Maintain metadata (using Data Relationship Management functions) - Utilization of Life Cycle Management - Ensure monthly close process runs smoothly in HFM, Planning and Essbase applications - Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT and external technical support providers - Support corporate and remote users with Hyperion applications and Smart View - Work with end users to develop and enhance the application process in a manner that will result in a stable productive environment - Participate in the analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness of current departmental processes and procedures and ultimately help to implement identified improvements - Maintain internal and external security policy compliance with the EPM environment (SOX related) - Participate on an enhancement of the Group Reporting & consolidation system project - Special projects and process improvements as determined necessary by management EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field required. EXPERIENCE: - Finance/accounting background with interests in learning and leveraging technology solution in support finance/accounting operations. - Financial systems background with 2+ years of Hyperion EPM (Planning, Financial Management FDMEE and Financial Reporting); Administration experience preferred but not required. - Understanding of basic bookkeeping, accounting and financial analysis and reporting. - Must have proven capacity to conceptualize, organize, plan and execute projects from beginning to end, and to express technical concepts in language understandable to business unit clients. - Orientation towards teamwork with strong communication, interpersonal and financial management skills.
