Job Summary
The Robotic Process Engineer will be part of the core team executing best practices and core competencies across multiple sites. The team's primary responsibility will be for the development and implementation of automation systems across all sites. The Robotic Process Engineer must have strong backgrounds in mechanical and electrical industrial technical support. This individual must be the go-to team member for diagnostics and troubleshooting of issues in the cells. Responsible from the initial stages of brainstorming and conceptualizing solutions, through all design stages, project management, fabrication, assembly, installation and support of ground up implementations and retrofits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ground up development, design, and debug of automation layouts, tooling and fixturing
Responsible for performance reliability in the electrical and mechanical designs of core team automation cells and retrofits.
Core team member who troubleshoots and repairs automation implementation projects
Communicates and coordinates with all sites maintenance personnel to provide technical expertise and support on the full range of maintenance projects and programs to reduce maintenance costs, avoid costly downtime, and increase equipment utilization.
Analyzes and defines machinery and equipment problems to improve quality, productivity, cost reductions, and repair of damaged equipment
Each core team member has a special function within the core team and is also responsible for project management of individual projects across multiple sites
Re-designs, re-engineers and/or retrofits automation, machinery and equipment
Studies machinery requirements, maintenance manuals and maintenance procedures to design and establish preventative maintenance programs to increase equipment up-time
Coordinates multi-site predictive and preventative maintenance activities and ensures all maintenance work is satisfactorily complete as assigned.
Design and perform both unit level and system-level testing and validation
Physical build, implementation, and installation of automation equipment, systems, integration of peripheral equipment.
Develop and maintain clear, accurate documentation of automation equipment/process
Develop network of vendors and solution providers to partner with in projects as well as educating the team in up-and-coming technologies and applications
