Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join the Leviat Product Engineering team as a Product Support Engineer. Innovative products and services are at the core of our company and this position is tasked with providing technical assistance and engineering support for all product lines offered in North America. This position reports to the Product Application Supervisor.
The Product Support Engineer has two main responsibilities. The first will be to work with internal and external customers to answer any technical questions they may have and, second, to provide design support for our products as they apply to project specific applications.
Responsibilities
Specific job functions include but may not be limited to:
Interact and collaborate with contractors, engineers, architects and other professionals to investigate and resolve engineering related issues
Manage time to meet requested due dates and respond to customers with a reasonable timeframe
Perform structural engineering calculations as it relates to Leviat products to assist customers with specifying and using our products
Provide exceptional customer service
Provide internal and external presentations to assist with promoting Leviat Products
Collaborate and effectively communicate with team members to complete projects
Qualifications (Education/Experience) And Required Skills
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Not required, but preferred Professional Licensed Civil Engineer
Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of structural engineering as it relates either steel, castin place concrete, precast or tilt-up construction.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Ability to perform structural design according to applicable codes & standards
Ability to use a variety of computer programs, including AutoCAD, Mathcad and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Self-starter, motivated and able to take initiative, with ability to start and finish tasks on time
Detail oriented
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Must be able to work closely with others
