Job Description:

Through our multiple companies and divisions, we provide traditional community banking and commercial banking services, wealth management solutions, commercial and life insurance premium financing, mortgage origination, and short-term accounts receivable financing and certain administrative services, such as data processing of payrolls, billing, and treasury management services. We provide community-oriented personal and business banking services to customers located in the greater Chicagoland area, northwest Indiana, and southern Wisconsin through more than 175 community bank locations.


  • Supervision and management of 4 Accounts Payable Analysts

  • Knowledge of and responsible for stale dated Accounts Payable checks and escheating to the states

  • Monthly/quarterly/yearly sales and use taxes filings

  • Knowledge of Form 1099 and other tax related matters for yearend reporting

  • Run quarterly accrual reports and provide details for items to be accrued

Monitor and assign daily responsibilities to comply with Service Level Agreements


  • Ensure accuracy of vendor invoice processing for a high volume of invoices and disbursements.   

  • Integral part of the intercompany allocation process ensuring proper assumptions are used in allocations to each Company entity

  • Review all processing exceptions and determine best solution for resolution

  • Ensure proper internal controls and company-wide spend management policies are established, maintained and monitored

  • Internal control monitoring and develop and maintain high quality and efficiency standards

  • Demonstrate technical expertise on the automated systems and processes in designated area of responsibility

  • Updating Accounts Payable procedures and policies manual

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years Accounts Payable and/or Accounting experience with Use Tax, 1099 Reporting and Escheatment

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business or relevant work experience

1 + years supervisory experience preferred
