Position Overview

This position involves the safe and efficient loading of customer trucks with aggregate material. This role includes the safe o peration of one or several types of equipment including a front-end loader, skid steer, and water truck. Strong communication skills and providing positive customer service is essential for this role. Dolomite will also provide training for this position, as well as in other areas of the aggregate production facility to widen opportunities and experience.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Load customer trucks with aggregate materials safely and efficiently.

  • Be able to use a loader scale or estimated load weights to provide accurate weight in customer trucks

  • Move rocks, gravel, dirt and other materials, using trucks, shovels, graders, or related equipment

  • Utilize equipment to stockpile production and incoming material

  • Provide strong customer service and communication between customer and scale operator

  • Maintain and keep roads and the stockpile yard clean and orderly

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.

Education/Experience


  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Mechanically inclined, previous mining experience preferred, but not necessary. Training will be provided


Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Be able to interact professionally with vendors, plant employees, and different levels of management

  • Maintain current driver's license

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Available to work extended hours throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary. Opportunities for overtime.

  • High regard for safety standards

  • Travel may be required

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a front-end loader for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee is required to climb a vertical ladder into the vehicle. The employee must occasionally life and/ or move anywhere up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
