Position Overview:
The Payroll Implementation Specialist is responsible for the successful conversion of all new clients to BerganKDVs Payroll systems, processes and procedures. They will work with the BerganKDV Implementation Coordinator and client to ensure a smooth transition from the previous payroll processor. The Implementation Specialist will help coordinate all transition activities, set transition schedules, and ensure conversion deadlines are met. They will work to develop a strong relationship with the client and set relationship and performance expectations for the future.

Essential Duties
Ensures the data population, operation procedures, features, and enhancements of the implemented system meets the end users needs and specifications for payroll processingMaintains the integrity of the system; assists in data testing and acceptanceCreates user training programs and documentationVerifies and analyzes payroll data from various formats and determines requirements for the conversion, including data entry of company setup, employee and tax data into the new system.Assists in processing client payrollsKeeps all system documentation up to date.Provides guidance in the payroll software and makes recommendations for system changes/enhancements.Informs clients on regulatory changes that may affect their HR, Payroll policies, program or proceduresPartners with sales to effectively setup new clients, this could include presentations, demonstration of Payroll system features and interface capabilities.Responding to routine and escalated inquiries or complaints on products/services and/or from internal partnersDevelops and implements data integrity measures and testing.Notifies management of issues, and make suggestions for corrective action

Requirements
Associates degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related fieldAdvanced Level in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet, etc.Strong technical skills and overall PC proficiencyFamiliar with payroll processing, including tax, benefit, and other deductionsAbility to work independently and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Able to react to change and to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesMeticulous attention to detail, as well as reliability and ability to carry out daily functions in an efficient and timely mannerExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced, team environment with the goal of meeting tight deadlines under pressure

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience2-4 years of experience in Payroll / HCM systemsKnowledge of HR operations, systems, policies and procedures
