Job Description:

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
As the Community Development Coordinator (CDC), you will be responsible for supporting the local Sales Department for a designated Sunshine Retirement Living Community. Support with community sales, and outreach while managing and directing the daily activities of the leasing department in accordance with organization policies and standards.
Our Community Development Coordinators must have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, using strategic marketing initiatives developed in collaboration with the corporate Marketing department, community outreach, grassroots and traditional sales tactics, your ultimate goal is to bring your Sunshine Community to 100% occupancy.
This position is also responsible for all leasing functions, which may include reviewing, negotiating and approval of client applications and lease documents. Oversees completion of all necessary paperwork and ensures proper customer service. Responsible for the productivity and budgetary performance of the Leasing Department.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of senior industry sales experience with a proven record of closingAbility to think strategically to assist in the development of effective marketing plansExcellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills; ability to develop relationships with prospective new residents and their families and overcome sales objectionsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively (in English), both verbally and in writing, with residents and staffStrong understanding of the sales cycle. Must have mastered the art of closingAbility to represent the community in a positive, professional manner at community eventsPossess an understanding of senior lifestyle and interests and have a passion for working with this target segmentStrong organizational and time-management skillsProficiency in computers and relevant software applications; familiarity with CRM lead-tracking systems preferred, but not requiredPossess reliable vehicle to travel within the city to perform outreach and promotion of community.Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Using strategic marketing initiatives developed in collaboration with the corporate Marketing department, community outreach, grassroots and traditional sales tactics, your ultimate goal is to bring your Sunshine Community to 100% occupancyPunctuality and regular attendance requiredManage the entire sales process for your designated Sunshine CommunityProvide localized input into the composition of copy and/or editing of all marketing materials for corporate publications, signage, or advertisingDevelop a pool of new prospective residents by using a variety of on-line and off-line lead-generation tactics, (including existing residents leads, cold calling, and networking through local professional and community organizations)Plan and execute traditional one-on-one marketing, inviting prospective residents and their influencers/decision-makers into the Community for lunch/visitDevelop a follow-up strategy for your leads, ensuring that each sales contact is timely, appropriate, and effectiveUse the internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for tracking all potential residents and their families, updating contacts dailyNegotiate rental agreements and terms with prospective residents and their familiesResearch and track local competitors to be knowledgeable of their pricing/special offersProvide the Sunshine Management Team with a weekly report summarizing sales efforts, (tracking status of prospective residents, sales hurdles, and competitors updates)Represent Sunshine Retirement Living in a courteous and friendly manner
