Darling Ingredients is looking for an Equipment Operator / Production Associate to join our plant in Linville, VA which is located near Harrisonburg, VA. This is a key role that will be responsible for ensuring that proper observation, monitoring, and storage is taking place concerning the meal that is being processed at our plant.

Job Summary:
Observe and monitor meal to ensure it is ground, screened, and the correct amount and type of antioxidant(s) is applied, and put in proper silos for storage.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Start up, monitor, and shut down entire grinding and screening system.
Perform routine maintenance as needed.
Take samples using proper sampling techniques.
Maintain clean and neat work area at all times.
Expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic math skills.
Ability to read and write.
Good communication skills, able to take direction and work well with others.
Ability to focus for long periods of time without being distracted.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work at heights by climbing ladders, stairs, and working on top of trailers.
Ability to quickly move the hand, hand together with the arm or the two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Ability to lift 50lbs
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a hot and dusty environment.
