Position Summary:



This position ensures that all vaccines are properly stored and shipped. This includes maintaining a vaccine inventory and keeping accurate records of orders and distribution, tracking temperature changes at all points in the cold chain, and recognizing and reporting temperatures out of normal range. This person is responsible for submitting vaccine orders monthly to the State of Alaska Epi-Depot based on current inventories collected from various locations. This position records data associated with the various duties.



Position Qualifications:



  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED or certified CHA/P. Two years college or LPN preferred.


  • Minimum Experience: Prefer experience in health education and inventory management.


  • License, Certification, Registration: Valid driver's license required.


  • Equipment/Tools: Proficiency in MS Office software including WORD, PPT and EXCEL required. Must be able to comfortably use basic office equipment (i.e., computers, multi-line telephone, fax machine, etc). Must be proficient with specific areas related to this position of the State of Alaska electronic database VacTrak with 1 month of hire.


  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills:


    • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions.


    • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals required. Basic algebraic skills or experience with Excel formulas required.


    • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply critical thinking to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions.
