The Slotting Analyst will review and analyze inventory control reports, identify trends, and provide recommendations to Inventory and Operational leadership. This position will also help support inventory projects and programs to ensure accuracy and in compliance with service levels.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for analyzing inventory control reports including but not limited to capacity Reports, category, top 30, abnormal item and reporting to identify trends and provide recommendations on inventory opportunities
Re-slot product accommodating velocity and warehouse requests as needed
Analyze item velocity to determine which overstock items to send to offsite and which items to return from offsite to the DC for order fulfillment
Coordinates and processes new items and changes in pack size, product description and discontinued product
Research inventory adjustments and maintain high service levels (low out of stocks)
Initiates date checks and periodic cycle counts
Research mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots and back stock verification
Escalates potential safety problems or violations to appropriate leaders
Troubleshoots daily inventory control issues
Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location
Performs other relevant job duties as required
Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
(Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field and/or equivalent work experience in accounting
Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment
Experience:
Understand procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes
Working knowledge and experience, preferably in both mechanized and conventional warehousing, in picking and storage operations in dry grocery and perishable areas
Experience as a selector or lift operator (strongly preferred)
Knowledge:
Understanding of safety guidelines
Understanding of paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventory
Knowledge of warehouse slotting system required

Ability to partner with a wide variety of people both in person and virtually
Ability to problem solve and collaborate to seek resolution

Proficiency in PC software tools for reports, analysis, and audits. MS Outlook, Word, and Excel experience required
Physical Environment/Demands:
Some travel may be required
Ability to lift between 40-60 pounds daily and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
