We are looking for a talented Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Portland, OR.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Provides operations leadership for small or medium size warehouse or Distribution Center, shift or department.
Manages 25-30 hourly employees (Material Handlers), 2 Team Coordinators, 1 Allocator, 1 Quality Analyst, and 1 Inventory Analyst to run the entire operation. Responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Provides operational leadership and improvement focus for warehouse operations including transportation/logistics and packaging operations driving results, creating, and monitoring measures, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, production, and cost.
Responsible for continuous improvement.
Acts as first point of contact for DBU customers and COM, and responsible for customer satisfaction and demonstrating superior customer focus. PRDC is a $135M distribution operation, with a $5.7M P&L and $9M of inventory, operating in a 120,000 sq-ft facility. Servicing Cummins Pacific (Northwest area) and Cummins Western Canada (BC area) and supports North America as a supplier of sourced orders.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Minimum College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required. MBA preferred.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
Provide safe working environment for all internal (Cummins) and contract employees.
Subject matter expert on WMS tools such as, Red Prairie and GOMS systems.
