City Experiences is seeking a Welder for our Boston Harbor City Cruises operation in Boston, MA.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Welder is primarily responsible for the cosmetic and functional repair of vessels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned tasks from the Engineering Supervisor and help plan/implement task execution.


• Weld stick, TIG, and MIG for aluminum and stainless steel.


• Use non-destructive quality assurance tools like dye penetrant.


• Weld in the horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.


• Read necessary diagrams and create/implement an appropriate repair plan.


• Paint, repair, clean, and generally improve facilities, vessels and equipment as required by the Engineering Supervisor.


•  Ensure all aspects of safety during task execution.


• Be able to correctly identify and use power tools to accomplish assigned tasks. 


• Use of approved Hazmat required for Paints, Solvents & Cleaning Agents. 


• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks of the vessels and property, including maintenance and construction tasks as assigned and minor engineering repairs and rounds as directed.


• Operate with the highest levels of quality and professionalism in order to achieve the highest levels of performance and productivity.


• Assist the Engineering Supervisor in ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.


• Assist Engineering Supervisor in ensuring vessels are always in an inspection-ready condition.


• Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School (or equivalent) Diploma.


• Minimum three (3) year experience with welding.


• Valid Driver’s License.


• Ability to effectively interact with fellow employees.


• Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment.


• Proven track record of working successfully in a team environment.
