We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineer.

Specific Requirements:

In this position, you will be responsible for:


  • Design, research, analyze and implement materials and their related fabrication processes to optimize their use in engineering designs 

  • Execution of appropriate Analysis, Processes and Procedures required to follow Mechanical Parts, Materials and Mechanical Assemblies/Structures through selection, specification generation, procurement team interaction, and item qualification.

  • Review, Create and Approve Drawings/Documents detailing Materiel procurement, qualification, and application

  • Review and approve subcontractor procedures

  • Support root cause efforts to perform failure analysis and life predictions on components, sub-systems, and systems

  • Preparation of reports and presentations associated with failure analysis and reliability testing

  • Metallurgist Focus: Metallic materials selection, surface treatment selection, heat treatment selection and processing oversight, and destructive and non-destructive testing.

  • Non-Metals Focus: Polymeric materials selection, Usage, Processing, Qualification, and Procurement. Assist with contamination processes and testing. 

Education Requirements: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree: Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent

Experience Required:


  • Intern/Co-op level work experience as a M&P Engineering.

  • Basic Knowledge of Materiel types, construction, usage and failure analysis

  • Experience locating and understanding part specifications/data sheets

  • Presentation and decision-making skills

  • Office and Reliability Laboratory Environment (specific Safety Provisions)
