We are seeking a 2nd shift Process Technician.  2nd Shift for our Yanfeng - Harrison Township facility is 3:00 PM - 1:00 PM (Monday-Saturday with occasional Sundays).


Job Summary:


Continuously monitor process parameters required to produce the highest quality parts with the least amount of scrap. Maintain and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, DartNet process controls, robot programs, and other systems to manage the injection molding and vacuum forming processes.


 


Main Responsibilities, Requirements, and Competencies:


Essential Functions of Job



  1. Responsible for troubleshooting any issues related to the vacuum forming, adhesive spraying, or injection molding processes, or the associated equipment.

  2. Document and communicate with other Process Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, and Shift Supervisor results of problem solving, and any deviations from established methods or procedures that may be necessary to resolve specific issues.

  3. Maintain documentation for process equipment such as reference sheets, monitoring sheets, waterline diagrams, gate seals, rhealogy graphs, robot programs, adhesive spray patterns, DartNet templates, etc.

  4. Manage process controls for the injection molding using DartNet system tools.

  5. Maintain a thorough knowledge of acceptable quality standards established by the quality department to insure maximum production of saleable parts.

  6. Responsible for monitoring Maintenance Technician mold change program loading and set-ups, as well as Operator inspecting and verifying the first shot checks to assure proper methods were followed to produce a quality part.

  7. Assist the Production Supervisors in training of the associates for line operation and monitoring what the associates will be required to complete as part of the process controls.

  8. Systematically check all variables to insure best possible balance of quality and quantity under specific prevailing conditions. Supervise the adhesive spray, vacuum forming, and injection molding process to ensure proper controls are being maintained.

  9. Schedule both routine and preventative maintenance of the equipment to have the least possible adverse effect on production schedules.

  10. Analyse operations for possible improvements in methods, procedures, or design. Recommend such improvements to the ME. Run all Design of Experiments (DOEs) and launch samples

  11. Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager/supervisor


 


Specific Requirements:


Required Education


High School Diploma or Equivalent


Required & Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)



  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience completing mold changes.

  • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience as plastic process technician.

  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.

  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

  • Systematic Molding Training is preferred.

  • Master Molder 1 and 2 Training is preferred.

  • 3-5 years mold change experience is preferred.
